Configuring Settings Tab gives you full control over popup opening, closing, and behavior.
In this guide, we’ll walk through each section of the Settings tab: Popup Opening, Popup Closing, and Advanced Settings.
Popup Opening #
Here you can define when the popup will appear to visitors.
- Open Delay – This setting controls the delay before the popup appears. The value is written in milliseconds (1 second = 1000 ms). For example, entering 5000 means the popup will show 5 seconds after the page loads. This is useful when you don’t want the popup to appear immediately but give visitors a chance to view content first.
- Open by Scrolling Down – You can set the popup to open when a visitor scrolls down the page by a certain number of pixels. For example, if you enter 300px, the popup will display once the user scrolls 300 pixels down the page.
Both of these options can be configured separately for desktop and mobile, giving you flexibility across devices.

Popup Closing #
This section allows you to define how users can close the popup. Providing multiple closing options ensures a good user experience.
- Close by pressing ESC – The popup closes when the user presses the Escape key.
- Close by clicking outside the box – Clicking outside the popup area closes it.
- Close the popup on scroll – The popup disappears when the user scrolls the page.
- Close by class name (onclick) – You can assign a CSS class to an element that closes the popup when clicked.
- Hide close button – Removes the close button entirely (not recommended unless the popup is autoclosing).
- Activate Close button while hovering – Displays the close button only when the user hovers over the popup.
- Close button position – Choose where the close button appears (e.g., top-right, top-left).
- Close button text – Customize the text or symbol of the close button (e.g., “X” or “Close”).
- Autoclose Delay – Automatically closes the popup after a set time (in seconds).
- Close button delay – Delays the appearance of the close button itself. For example, you can show the close button only after 5 seconds, ensuring users first see your message.
These closing options can also be adjusted separately for mobile devices, so you can fine-tune the popup behavior for smaller screens.

Advanced Settings #
The advanced section provides additional controls that let you fine-tune popup behavior and customize how it interacts with your website.
- Popup Name – Assign an internal name to help identify the popup in your dashboard.
- Popup Category – Choose a category (Check out our detailed guide on Organizing Popups with Categories.

- Enable Overlay – Adds a background overlay when the popup is active. You can also adjust the overlay’s opacity.
- Enable Blurred Overlay – Instead of a plain overlay, blur the background content when the popup is active.
- Enable Popup Sound – Play a sound when the popup opens.
- Enable Social Media Links – Display social sharing buttons inside the popup.
- Schedule the Popup – Set start and end times to show the popup only during a specific date or time range (great for limited campaigns).
- Actions while clicking on the popup – Define what happens if the popup itself is clicked. You can either close the popup or redirect users to a custom URL.
- Change the Popup Creation Date – Adjust the creation date of the popup for internal tracking.
- Change the Popup Author – Assign the popup to a different user/admin in your site.
- Enable Dismiss Ad – Allow users to permanently dismiss the popup so it won’t show again.
- Disable Scrolling – Prevents users from scrolling the page while the popup is open.
- Disable Popup Scrolling – Prevents scrolling inside the popup content.
- Show Scrollbar – Enable or disable scrollbars inside the popup if the content is longer than the window.
