ConvertKit

The ConvertKit integration allows you to automatically collect subscribers from your popups and send them directly to your ConvertKit account. This makes it simple to grow your email list, segment subscribers, and start email campaigns instantly.

Step 1: Navigate to the Integrations Tab #

1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to Popup Box → General Settings → Integrations.
2. Scroll down to find the ConvertKit section.
   • Here you’ll see the API Key field.

Step 2: Generate Your ConvertKit API Key #

1. Log in to your ConvertKit account.
2. Go to your Profile Icon → Settings.
3. From the left-hand menu, choose Developer → API.
4. Copy the API Key displayed there.

Note: Keep your API key private: anyone with access can add subscribers to your account.

Step 3: Add Your API Key in Popup Box #

1. Return to your WordPress dashboard → Popup Box → General Settings → Integrations tab.
2. In the ConvertKit → API Key field, paste the API Key you copied.
3. Click Save Changes.

If everything is correct, Popup Box will now be connected to your ConvertKit account.

Step 4: Enable ConvertKit on a Popup #

1. Open the popup you want to connect (e.g., Subscription or Contact Form popup).
2. Make sure the Name and Email fields are enabled in the form.
3. Go to the popup’s Integrations settings.
4. Enable ConvertKit and select the form, tag, or sequence you want new subscribers to be added to.
5. Save the popup.

Step 5: Test the ConvertKit Integration #

1. Open your popup on the website frontend.
2. Enter a test name and email into the form.
3. Log in to your ConvertKit account and go to Subscribers.
4. Confirm that the new subscriber appears in the selected list or tag.
